History

PLANTAFARM SA was founded on January 7, 1964 in the town of Villanueva del Condado, Leon province, initially, with a specific goal: the production of Peppermint, a species that is well adapted to the region.

In recent years we have gone from the 3000 m² of facilities built in the beginning, to create, in 1997, a complex of nearly 20,000 m² of facilities and warehouses.
In 1998, the company has grown to belong to the German MartinBauer.

Plantafarm growth that we have experienced in the past 15 years, is reflected also in the level of employment generated, which has gone from 15-20 employees in the 1980s to the present 60-70 workers.
